Claritas Online has been developed to offer to the general public high quality optical and measuring equipment direct from the Claritas warehouse. Claritas Limited celebrated their 60th Anniversary in 2006 and own the respected Hilkinson, Hilkin and Solus brands.

We have now completed the first stage of a programme of major upgrades to the site, the most important being a new shopping cart which simplifies the buying process considerably and also allows customers in selected overseas countries to order online.

The changes have involved re-writing thousands of lines of code so if you come across a glitch, please let us know.

We hold large stocks of all manner of instruments including a variety of Magnifiers, Binoculars, Scopes and Telescopes, Monoculars, Opera Glasses, Microscopes, Pedometers including probably the most accurate available, the Yamax Digi-walkers, Compasses including a large range of the highly regarded Silva Compasses which include some of the best-selling compasses available, Thermometers and Map Measures. We have some hard-to-find items such as Linen Testers, Ruper High Power Magnifiers and even a Diminishing Glass. At present, we are only offering a part of the Claritas range and items will be added on a regular basis.

The latest arrivals are 3 new Opera Glasses - a 3x18 model with a very attractive Champagne & Gold finish and a snip at under £20, 2 3x25 models, one complete with a necklace chain and the other with an LED Programme Light.

Our flagship is the superb Hilkinson range of Binoculars, Opera Glasses, Monoculars and Spotting Scopes.

To assist our customers, we have selected a number of our products that we feel make admirable gifts. They are indicated with this symbol.With prices of these items ranging from £5.97 to over £350.00, there is something to suit every pocket.

All items offered on the site are in stock as at , except where noted. We will always endeavour to remove from sale any items that are in danger of running out.

Orders received by 12 noon, Monday to Friday, are despatched that day by First Class Post or, in the case of heavier or more valuable items, on a 2 day Parcel Force delivery service.

For your peace of mind, all online payments are handled by a secure WorldPay site and all our prices include packing, postage within the UK, and VAT. There are no hidden extras.
